Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

Standing the test of time, acupuncture is a system of medicine that has been successfully treating patient’s conditions for over 3,000 years.

Scientifically proven, the World Health Organization has recognized it as both successful and therapeutic treatment for over 100 ailments. Furthermore, the US National Institutes of Health acknowledged the effective use of acupuncture for a variety of conditions.

Acupuncture involves the use of small filiform (thread-like) needles that will be strategically and specifically placed in acupuncture points, creating a prescription specific to your diagnosis. Acupuncture is very specific and it is individualized for each patient. If needed, Dr. Vanessa will also prescribe Chinese herbal formulas to help support your treatments. When you come for your visit, Dr. Vanessa will go through your medical history, and go through a detailed examination with you. From there, a specific treatment plan will be determined utilizing acupuncture or acupuncture plus herbal medicine to get you on the fastest road to recovery.

Acupuncture is also useful for everyday wellness and maintenance of stress, anxiety or if you just need an Acu Nap.
